What the examiners reward in 4EA1 Spoken Language Endorsement
This endorsement rewards spoken skills the written papers cannot show. Good work presents ideas clearly and in a logical order. It uses Standard English confidently (full forms, precise vocabulary, complete sentences) and adapts tone to the audience and purpose.
Delivery counts too: pace, emphasis, eye contact, and a voice that carries rather than a script read aloud. Strong candidates also listen well. They answer questions with real command of the topic, developing them rather than deflecting.
A good talk sounds prepared but not memorised. A good question round shows the speaker truly understands what they are talking about.
