Online IGCSE English support for Prince of Wales Island International School (POWIIS) students
Balik Pulau lies on the quieter western side of Penang Island, ringed by hills and paddy where the drive to any town-centre class is a real undertaking. This is where online tuition proves its worth, and for students at Prince of Wales Island International School our one-to-one English lessons remove distance from the equation entirely. Wherever a learner is based, a stable video link brings a full hour of focused teaching aimed at IGCSE and International GCSE English, covering close reading, essay craft and confident expression.
With a single student in the session, the teacher can move at exactly the right pace and respond to that learner's own writing. A paid trial hour lets families begin without a long commitment. Regular tuition then runs from RM70/hr, delivered online with feedback to revisit.
For reference, Prince of Wales Island International School (POWIIS) is a British-style international day and boarding school in Balik Pulau, Penang.
Lessons are online, one-to-one and timetabled around school. The first step is a paid one-hour trial.
How to start with a trial hour
The same teacher stays with each Prince of Wales Island International School (POWIIS) student from the paid trial onward, so each lesson builds on the last without a restart. The Balik Pulau page covers the local picture. Read how we teach to see how a lesson runs, and the qualifications we cover to check the board your child sits.
