Segambut is the north-western district of Kuala Lumpur that draws together three very different addresses: the condominium ridge of Mont Kiara, the walkable cafe streets of Sri Hartamas and the settled township of Taman Tun Dr Ismail, or TTDI. Running from Dutamas across to the edge of Bukit Kiara, it is home to a heavily international, professional population, with expatriate families in the high-rises above Plaza Mont Kiara and long-term residents in the leafy lanes around Rimba Kiara. Few parts of the city hold so many households for whom English is the everyday language spoken at home.
Studying IGCSE English across Segambut
Segambut holds one of the densest concentrations of international schools in the Klang Valley. The Mont Kiara cluster alone gathers Garden International School, Mont'Kiara International School and the French School of Kuala Lumpur, and Sri Hartamas families feed into the same campuses a few minutes uphill. TTDI's children add to the mix, scattering to private and international schools across the surrounding Damansara area.
Around these schools sits a large community of homeschoolers and private candidates preparing for IGCSE English independently. For all of them, our team of experienced English teachers works on reading and writing skills to the requirements each school and board sets.
Your child needs no travel. The teacher joins from a screen, and the trial is one paid hour.

How online lessons reach the whole district
Because we teach entirely online and one-to-one, it makes no difference whether a student lives in a Mont Kiara tower, a Sri Hartamas shophouse flat or a TTDI terrace: the same experienced teacher takes every lesson, with no drive up Jalan Kiara and no scramble for parking near Plaza Damas. We teach all three IGCSE English strands, First Language English, English as a Second Language and Literature in English, across Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel and OxfordAQA, from the Year 9 foundation through to the Year 11 exam. Lessons start from RM70/hr, and the first is a paid one-hour class with that same teacher.
